I am a multi-discipline designer interested in graphic design, interior manipulation of space, installation art, environmental graphic design, architecture, landscaping and photography. I strive to approach all challenges with resilience and creativity. I attend NewSchool of Architecture and Design in San Diego where I am completing a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design and Interactive Media and a minor in Interior Design. I will then go on to pursue a Masters degree in Architecture.
Before attending Newschool, I studied Media Arts and Graphic Design at Chico State University and worked at a commercial landscaping company where I learned about the construction process. While at Chico, I had the opportunity to go to Copenhagen, Denmark and tour studios, ad agencies, type foundries and architecture studios. It was during my time abroad and touring the architectural masterpieces of Bijark Ingles of BIG that I realized I could combine my Graphic Design discipline, drawing skills, love of architecture and construction knowledge to move into a future in architecture. Back at Chico I enrolled in a few construction management classes where I learned more about plan reading, materials and codes then moved to San Diego where I took classes in hand drafting, model making, construction materials and interior design at Mesa Community College.
I take a human-centered approach in all my design decisions whether it be a poster or a house and strive to make impactful impressions. I would describe my approach and style of design to be eclectic.
